Note: The Geological Survey of India (GSI) was established in 1851 and has been supplying scientific information to the government since that time. The Centenary Celebrations seal on the cover commemorates the completion of 100 years of this organization (GSI) in 1951.

O., Block of Four of 1 &frac12; Annas &amp; pair of&nbsp; &frac12; Anna&nbsp;affixed on the back side of the cover, dispatched to&nbsp;&ldquo;DEVOKOTTAI, Ramnad Dist.&nbsp;fasten envelope slip attached, with the instruction of Re-USE this envelope in Roman, Devnagari &amp; Persian script and &ldquo;O. H. M. S.&rdquo; printed on it, Registered Label affixed as &ldquo;R 123 | EXPERIMENTAL B.O. | MS &ndash; 194&rdquo;, on the reverse of the slip the instruction for pasting this slip is mentioned in Roman, Devnagari &amp; Persian script. Dispatch seal &ldquo;EXPERIMENTAL B. O. | 21 JLY 49&rdquo; applied twice, another dispatch seal of &ldquo;?? | REG | 21 JLY 49&rdquo;. Round delivery postmark &ldquo;DEVKOTTAI | REG | 22 JLY 49 | 2 45 P.M.&rdquo; on the reverse of the cover,&nbsp;very good condition, Very Rare.

Note:&nbsp;An important cover that was probably made by an eco-friendly enthusiast, as per the Government advisory.&nbsp;In the reign of George VI, it is possible that the term Fasten Envelope was not commonly used or may have been used to refer to a particular practice or service that is not well documented as a whole. According to postal terminology, &quot;FASTEN ENVELOPE&quot; refers to a process of ensuring an envelope&#39;s contents are protected and remain intact during transit through adhesive or other means.

Air Mail Cover, 1930, King George V period, Peshawar to Leipzig, 4 stamps affixed of total value 9 Annas, Air Mail label affixed, dispatched from Peshawar on 18 JUN 30 via transit at Karachi on 21 Jan 30 and delivered on 30 Jun 1930 in Leipzig, Germany, intact condition, Rare.

Note: This cover is a fascinating offering as it has the advertisement of Afghan Stamps &amp; Coins with its logo on this cover, it is an interesting observation to notice that there was a proper hobby store around a century ago in Peshawar city that is currently in Pakistan. It was sent from K.C. Krishen and Company, Ram Chowk, Peshawar City.

This cover was sent from The Chartered Bank of India, Australia &amp; China, Bombay to French Morocco. Franking office seal in Red ink &ldquo;BOMBAY G.P.O. C.B.I.A.C. B-358 | 28 III 51&rdquo; at the front, a dispatch seal in Black ink &ldquo;BOMBAY G.P.O. REG. | F | 28 MAR 1&rdquo; is noted on the back. It was sent on 28th March 1951 via GIBRALTAR 24 AP 51 as seen on the seal, transfer cancellation of MAROC, 26-4-1951 was applied, CASABLANCA-POST Telegram cancellation is present on this envelope and finally, delivery seal REGISTERED 26 APR 51 BRITISH P.O TANGIER was applied, Clearance Draft Department seal visible, intact condition, Rare Destination, Very Rare.
