His coins are rare, reflecting the political turmoil of the time. He was succeeded by his nephew Muzaffar Jung, who ruled for only 58 days before being killed, and then by Salabat Jung, Asaf Jah I’s third son, who ruled for about 12 years. However, none of these three were officially conferred the title “Asaf Jah” by the Mughal Emperors.
