Note: Nasir Jung, the second son of Asaf Jah I, ruled briefly as Nizam of Hyderabad for just over two years. His coins are rare, reflecting the political turmoil of the time. He was succeeded by his nephew Muzaffar Jung, who ruled for only 58 days before being killed, and then by Salabat Jung, Asaf Jah I’s third son, who ruled for about 12 years. However, none of these three were officially conferred the title “Asaf Jah” by the Mughal Emperors. The title was formally granted only later to Nizam Ali Khan, another son of Asaf Jah I, who became the officially recognized Asaf Jah II, marking the start of the legitimate Asaf Jahi dynasty.
