Bengal Sultanate, Shams ud-din Ilyas (AH 743-758 /1342-1357 AD), Al Balad Firuzabad Mint, Silver Tanka, Obv: Arabic legend “al-sultan al-adil shams ud dunya wa’l din abu’l muzaffar Ilyas Shah al-sultan”, Rev: Arabic legend “Sikander al-thani yamin al-khalifa (Nasir) amir al-mu’minin” within a circle, mint name at the margin & date off flan, 10.55g, 26.46mm, (Variant of G&G # B151), test marks, about extremely fine, Scarce.

Note: The Arabic word ‘Abu’ is seen without the ‘pesh’ diacritic, which differs from the example listed in B151.
