Note: These banknotes, which were in circulation for a very short time, were issued in April 1948 to meet immediate requirements of a newly formed country and were later demonetized in 1949. &ldquo;Government of Pakistan&rdquo; is overprinted over watermark with the Urdu text &ldquo;Hukumat-e-Pakistan&rdquo; at the bottom. There is a vignette of King George VI&rsquo;s portrait vignette at the right and a watermark on the left. The reverse of the note displays a roaring tiger&#39;s head. This note was issued when Pakistan separated from British India to form the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
