1835, King William IIII, Gold Mohur, Calcutta Mint, Original Strike, Obv: bust of the king facing right, R.S. incused on the truncation of the neck, Rev: a lion standing & facing left with a palm tree behind, the value in English & Persian, (PR # 9/S&W # 1.9), 25.36mm, 11.58g, some usual handling marks & scratches on surface with hairlines, about extremely fine, Exceedingly Rare.

R.S. initials used by the mint master Robert Saunders of the Calcutta mint. As per Pridmore, only 28,612 pieces were struck.
