Malwa Sultanate, Ghiyath Shah&nbsp;(AH 873-906 /1469-1500 AD), Gold Square Nazarana Tanka, Broad Flan,&nbsp;AH 905, Obv:&nbsp;Arabic legend "al-wathiq bi'l malik al-multaji abu'l fath Ghiyath Shah" with flower mint mark, within a dotted border, Rev:&nbsp;Arabic legend "bin Mahmud Shah al-khalji al-sultan khuld mulkahu",&nbsp;with 905 Hijri year within a dotted border, 10.97g, 26.61 x 26.60mm,&nbsp;(Unlisted die strike variety in G&amp;G),&nbsp;no test mark, superb &amp; centrally struck in deep bold strike, immaculate luster with toning, very attractive, die crack, otherwise Brilliant Uncirculated, Exceedingly Rare in this grade.

Note: This gold tanka is struck on a remarkably large nazrana flan. The Arabic legend “Abu’l Fath” is rendered in the elongated style known from both the double tanka (G&amp;G # M65) and the single tanka (G&amp;G # M67) dies. The broad flan, die size, and complete marginal borders indicate a strong die relationship, suggesting that the present specimen may have been struck from the same double tanka dies, based on precise matching of design elements and size.<o:p></o:p>
