Noorjahan (AH 1033–1037 /1623–1627 AD) Lahore Mint, Silver Rupee, &nbsp;AH 1035 /21 RY, “Fuzodah” Couplet, Obv: Persian legend “za naam shah Jahangir ta shuda pur Noor” with regnal year 21, celebrating the emperor in the name of Noorjahan, Rev: Persian legend “Fuzodah Noorjahan, ruye sikka-e Lahore”, featuring the complete “Zarb Lahore 1035 Hijri year” at the bottom, 11.40 g, 21.12 mm, (KM #169.1), single test mark on obverse, complete &amp; centrally struck on both sides, nice dotted and floral designs visible, struck in high relief, superb luster, AU-UNC, Exceedingly Rare. &nbsp;

Note:&nbsp;Struck in one of the choicest states of preservation, this exquisite rupee was issued under the authority of Empress Nur Jahan and represents a rare personal issue of exceptional historical and artistic importance. The coin features elegant floral motifs and finely executed poetic Persian inscriptions, reflecting both imperial authority and the refined aesthetics of the Mughal court. During the later years of Jahangir’s reign, as his health declined, Nur Jahan emerged as the de facto ruler, effectively administering the empire from Lahore.<o:p></o:p>This specimen is further distinguished by its unique Fuzodah couplet, making it the only known example featuring this inscriptional variety. Its superb preservation, historical significance, and exceptional artistry collectively render it a highly desirable and important rarity for Mughal collectors.<o:p></o:p>
