Note: An extremely rare and significant coin, this gold Adli is struck to the innovative 80-Rati standard introduced by Muhammad bin Tughluq and issued only between AH 728–732. These coins were minted from just two mints—Daulatabad and Sultanpur—with the Daulatabad issues bearing mint epithets such as Dar al-Mulk (Capital City) & The Hadrat (The Presence).

This particular specimen is dated AH 729 and bears the combined mint epithet Dar al-Mulk Daulatabad, a previously unrecorded date for this type. This date is unlisted in the Goron & Goenka catalog.

Its historical significance is further elevated by the fact that Daulatabad (formerly Deogir) had by then become the Sultan's capital and a strategic entry point into the Deccan, reflecting Muhammad bin Tughluq’s bold administrative reforms.
