Note: Dewas had two branches - Junior and Senior. The Senior branch known as Moti Pathi, is mentioned on the medal. This particular medal has never been offered before.<o:p></o:p>Historically, Dewas was a Maratha princely state established in the 18th century by the Pawar brothers of the Maratha clan. The state was later divided into the Senior and Junior branches, each ruled by a different line of the family, yet both retained strong Maratha traditions and heritage.<o:p></o:p>
