The official date of accession was later standardized to 1st Ramadan AH 1068 by imperial Farman (decree).<o:p></o:p>This nazrana style rupee, dated AH 1069 / Regnal Year Ahad, was likely struck to commemorate Aurangzeb’s second and formal coronation at Shahjahanabad.
