&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Note: After the surrender of Sikandar Adil Shah of Bijapur on 13 September 1686, the fortress of&nbsp;Adoni remained under the control of Sidi Mas'ud, a powerful Habshi regent of the Adil Shahi Sultanate.&nbsp;He resisted Mughal forces for nearly two years, before finally surrendering in&nbsp;August 1688 to Aurangzeb. Following this victory,&nbsp;Adoni was renamed 'Imtiyazgarh' (Fort of Distinction)&nbsp;to mark its strategic and symbolic importance.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; During the siege,&nbsp;important coins were issued—either by the Mughal camp or by Sidi Mas'ud in recognition of Mughal suzerainty.
