However,&nbsp;Bakht Singh, Ram Singh’s uncle,&nbsp;contested the succession&nbsp;and rose in revolt. Bakht Singh&nbsp;emerged victorious in the Battle of Luniawas&nbsp;and became the&nbsp;Maharaja of Marwar and Jodhpur in July 1751.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Seeking to reclaim the throne,&nbsp;Ram Singh allied with Jayappa Sindhia, and together they attacked and&nbsp;sacked Ajmer in May 1752. In response, Bakht Singh marched to Ajmer and, in&nbsp;July 1752,&nbsp;defeated Jayappa and Ram Singh's forces, forcing them to flee after sustaining heavy casualties. However,&nbsp;Bakht Singh died suddenly of cholera on 21 September 1752, only months after his victory.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The&nbsp;earliest coins from this period bear the mint name “Garh Jodhpur”, likely indicating the mint’s location within&nbsp;Mehrangarh Fort. These coins correspond to&nbsp;Bakht Singh’s brief reign.
