Note: This rare tanka was struck after Bahadur Shah’s victory over Malwa in 1537. After Bahadur Shah’s death, his governor, Mallu Khan, took control of the region and ruled under Gujarat’s authority, adopting the title of Qadir Khan and gaining the right to mint coins. However, instead of issuing coins in his Own name, Mallu Khan minted them in the name of Mahmud III, the Sultan of Gujarat. Interestingly, the coin incorrectly refers to Bahadur Shah as Mahmud's father, when in fact, it was Latif Shah who was the father. &nbsp;
