This particular specimen, minted in Lahore and dated AH 962, displays a partially worn date on its surface. This coin is likely a commemoration of Humayun's entry into Lahore on the 2nd Rabi' of AH 962 (February 24, 1555 AD), an event marked by the reading of the Khutba in his honor.
