Under the guidance of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh, it was structured along the lines of the Brigade of Guards and named the "Sawai Man Guards". During World War II, the unit actively served in Egypt, Palestine, and Italy. The officer's brass die-stamped cap badge worn from 1935 to 1949 reflects this historical period. In 1950, the Sawai Man Guards became an integral part of the Indian Army, functioning as a battalion of the Rajputana Rifles.&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>
