Salvage Mail Cover, King George V Period, 1936, Edward VII 1 Penny Stamp affixed later in the U.K., stamp affixed at origin (Lahore) was missing due to damage by water, &ldquo;DAMAGED BY WATER&rdquo; seal in a rectangular box. The cover was addressed to &ldquo;Mrs. Aslaug, C/o Midlaud Frank | 36 Old Bond St. | London: W1 | England&rdquo;, interestingly the address was not found in London and the address was struck-off, later the cover was redirected to the &ldquo;Restauoranish | Schwazindien | Mondil Austria&rdquo;. The cover&nbsp;was sent from Lahore, having a rectangular slogan dispatch cancellations of LAHORE which are underneath affixed Brown Paper Strip of G R &amp; Crown with the note&nbsp;&ldquo;Found open or damaged | And Officially secured&rdquo;, in English and French also. London arrival cancellation &ldquo;LONDON. W1 | 11.15 AM | 26 AU | 36 | 67&rdquo; and delivery cancellation &ldquo;LONDON. W1 | 3.45 PM | 26 AU | 36 | 8&rdquo;, very good condition, Rare.
