Note:&nbsp;Engraved&nbsp;by&nbsp;J. Rogers in 1851 from a large-scale painting by Henry Singleton, it illustrates the East India Company storming and seizing Seringapatam, Tipu Sultan&#39;s fortified capital and fierce opponent of British imperialism.&nbsp; Lieutenant-General Lord Cornwallis, Governor-General of India, took Tipu&#39;s two sons as hostages in 1792, forcing Tipu to surrender to the British.&nbsp;
