Envelope, No Year Era Period, Queen Victoria, &frac12; Anna Blue, S &frac14; 9 Type Cancellation, 17b of Renouf from Patoamari (Assam) dated SEP 12, further carried with &ldquo;PATOAMARI | DT. Type GOALPARA&rdquo; District Dak (Type 32e of Bhargava and Chandak), finally delivered at SUJANGARH on 20 SEP, then to BIDASAR on Camel Post, &ldquo;TOO LATE&rdquo; postmark which was applied at PATOAMARI, excellent condition, Very Rare. 

Note: (i)The instant mail was carried during the time of the &ldquo;No Year Era period&rdquo;, hence there appears no year in any of the postmarks.

(ii) This cover is an example of the district Dak of Assam, the postmarks of GOALPARA having a district post office used a name stamp in a square box handed over to the envelope to Potoamari Imperial post office to be forwarded to Bidasar Via Sujangarh. The Imperial post office cancelled the imprint stamps with No. 1 | S-9 |4, S-9 number was of Goalpara, and branch office No. 1 was Dhubri, which was a steamer station, and sub-post office No.4 belonged to Potoamari under Dhubri, Bhargava and Chandak summarize &ldquo;This is the only example seen from Assam&rdquo;, it is exactly similar to the example illustrated in &ldquo;Encyclopedia of Early Indian Cancellations &amp; Post Mark&rdquo;.
