Amritsar mint first issued their coins in VS 1832. Most of the Sikh coins of &nbsp;first occupation of Multan, which lasted for nine years, were melted by Timur Shah Durrani and therefore only few coins still survive. Second occupation of Multan was not until VS 1875 under Ranjit Singh Lahore Durbar. The Sikh Empire was dissolved in 1905.
