Error Notes of Gandhi Notes, Shalimar Notes, Republic India Notes.

Republic India, 2017, Error 10 Rupees (2), Signed by Urjit Patel, Error: Duplicate serial number error, two notes with same serial number, same prefix and same inset, L Inset, S. No. 00F*634731, graded by PMCS as 63 & 64 UNC, Exceedingly Rare.

Note: Banknotes with defects or errors detected at the printing stage are replaced at the currency printing presses by new banknotes having the same number and a star mark placed between the prefix and the serial number. It is interesting to observe an error in Star/Replacement banknotes as their introduction is meant to curb the release of error banknotes from the currency printing press. This lot is having the 2 banknotes bearing the same serial number with the star. This is an important lot.
