Parenda was located in the Deccan region, it became the part of Mughal Empire during the 3rd year of Aurangzeb&rsquo;s reign (1071AH) when Amir-ul-Umara, Shayasta Khan had reported that &ldquo;the fort of Parenda had been won without fighting (Maasir-Alamgiri, pg 33). It remained in the hands of Mughals during the rest of Aurangzeb&rsquo;s reign. Gold mohurs from this mint are hardly offered in auctions and it is an important rarity in Aurangzeb&rsquo;s gold coinage.
