This enigmatic issue is similar in style to contemporary coins of Amritsar. Unlike those, however, it does not bear the double date but a very prominent &ldquo;1889&rdquo; and a legend where the mint name should be that has not yet been satisfactorily read. Mint epithet (Sha)hi (samaji) partly visible on top of reverse.
