Azam Shah Coins were struck for a small period when he assumed the kingship in Ahmadnagar on 14th March 1707, immediately 10 days after the death of his father Aurangzeb. At his defeat and death by his stepbrother Muazaam at the battle of Jajau on 8th June 1707 his coinage also came to an end.
