Machilipatnam which is also referred to as Bandar or Machhlipatnam / Masulipatnam is a foremost port city in the Kirshna district of Andhra Pradesh. An example of the Gold Mohur of Machhlipatan struck by the Aurangzeb dated AH 1105 with RY 37 was sold by Baldwins in 2007 and the coins of the same mint struck by his successors Farrukhsiyar and Muhammad Shah were also reported and sold a decade ago.
