Delhi Sultanate, Tughluq Dynasty, Firuz Shah Tughluq (AH 752-790/1351-1388 AD), Silver Tanka, AH 786 (Holy date), Obv: firuz shah sultani, Rev: naib amir al-mu'minin, holly date 786 at bottom, 10.19g, 24.36mm, (G&G # D471), choice very fine, Extremely Rare.

The Arabic/Urdu letters of the opening phrase of the Quran “Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim’ (In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most beneficient) sum up to the numerical value ‘786’, therefore some people believe that 786 is a substitute to the name of Allah. Thus this hijri date 786 on the coin makes it special and interesting.
