Note: This specimen features the counterstruck 'Adl Babur Ghazi.' After his victory in the Battle of Khanwa on 17th March 1527, Babur adopted this title. The battle was fought between Babur's forces and the Rajput ruler Rana Sanga of Mewar. To commemorate his success and assert his authority in the region, Babur began counter-stamping coins with this title. These counter-stamped coins serve as historical markers of Babur's triumph and consolidation of power. Rahman does not list this type in his book.
