Note: The mint-name "Sitpur" refers to Siddhpur, a town in Gujarat’s Patan district, which became prominent as a religious and commercial hub during the Chaulukya dynasty. Siddhpur was named after King Jayasimha Siddharaja and was known for conducting passage rituals for the deceased, especially mothers. It was also a textile trade center with exports reaching as far as Egypt. Following Akbar's conquest of Gujarat in the late 16th century, Patan (Anhilwara Patan) lost its political significance, but Siddhpur remained important religiously and commercially. During the latter part of Akbar’s reign, a regional mint was established at Siddhpur, marked as "Sitpur." Coins from this mint, dated Ilahi years 47-49, are unusual in that they feature only one month (Mihr). Gold coins from this mint are exceptionally rare, with fewer than five known specimens, and only two have been offered at auctions in the past 30 years, all dated in the 47th year with Farwardin as the issuing month.
