Note: This is the first-issue Five Rupees banknote of the Hyderabad Nizam’s currency, issued under Mir Osman Ali Khan. The obverse displays the denomination and text in multiple languages, reflecting the cosmopolitan administration of the state. The reverse features a distinctive five-fold motif derived from the reverse design of Mir Osman Ali Khan’s silver rupee, a hallmark of early Hyderabad paper currency.

The note has retained excellent original crispness, with strong paper quality and a vivid, attractive green color, attributes seldom encountered for this issue. Examples in such high grade are difficult to obtain, making this a highly desirable offering for collectors of Indian princely state banknote.
