Republic India, 2015, Aluminium 1 Rupee, E.X.P.T., Mumbai&nbsp;Mint, EXPT – Experimental Coin, with Diamond Mint mark for Mumbai Mint, EXPT&nbsp;struck on the coin, EXPT stamp is raised in relief, both side rim error, graded &amp; slabbed by PCGS as SP64, Extremely Rare.

Note: The 1 Rupee coins of 2015 and 2016 are reported as the only years in which the “EXPT” (Experimental) marking was struck on a thick aluminium planchet. The aluminium planchet was subsequently rejected, and 1 Rupee coins were issued for general circulation in steel on a thin planchet. The present coin is a 2015-minted example, featuring the unusual “EXPT” marking on both sides, making it a particularly interesting piece for collectors of Indian experimental and mint-error varieties.
