Introduced around AH 824 (1421 AD), the lion motif is thought to symbolize royal power and sovereign authority, possibly serving as a political statement to assert dominance over rival factions. The inclusion of the Lion-an exceptionally uncommon emblem in Islamic coinage marked a significant artistic and ideological innovation, later influencing the coinage of subsequent Bengal rulers and even the kings of Tripura.&nbsp;
