Note: This is a very interesting offering comprising two entirely separate and distinct items. The first is a 500 Rupees printer’s proof note issued during the tenure of Governor Raghuram G. Rajan, produced as an experimental uniface proof for design and production verification. The second is a separate serial number printer’s proof, featuring telescopic numbering on both sides, used to validate the numbering system prior to final printing.<o:p></o:p>Both are certified by PCGS and housed in separate slabs, representing different stages of the banknote production process. We have not previously offered such a combination in our auctions, making this an unusual and highly significant presentation for collectors of modern Indian paper money.<o:p></o:p>
