Note:&nbsp;Historical accounts suggest that gold Mohurs discovered along the riverbanks near Akola originated from the Surat mint, struck as military payments for Mughal troops stationed at the Golkonda fort. The circumstances of their loss remain shrouded in mystery -whether swept away by early monsoon floods or lost through theft, the annual production of these Mohurs from Surat was seemingly forfeited.<o:p></o:p>This particular Mohur is of exceptional quality, featuring deep, bold strikes and highly raised legends with a rich golden hue gracing its surface.
