Note: Badakhshan, historically significant for its ruler’s claiming descent from Alexander the Great, saw Sultan Muhammad as its last king until his demise at the hands of Abu Said Mirza. Following internal strife, Sultan Mahmud Mirza assumed leadership. Amir Khusro Khan later seized power and submitted to Babur in 1504 CE. During Babur's rule, Prince Humayun and Sultan Wais Khan governed, with Mirza Sulaiman eventually emerging as a prominent leader until 1575.Badakhshan also stands out as an exceptionally rare mint for Humayun's silver coinage, with very few known examples existing. This scarcity may be attributed to historical circumstances or the mint's short operational period during Humayun's reign. Collectors and historians highly prize these coins for their rarity and significant historical value.
