Recognizing their established acceptance in trade, Akbar refrained from recalling and recoining these foreign issues, instead validating them for circulation by impressing the "Adl-e-Kabul" ("Justice of Kabul")&nbsp;counterstamp.&nbsp; More than a mere fiscal expedient, the countermark symbolized the transfer of monetary authority from the Shaybanids to the Mughals, transforming a Central Asian trade coin into officially sanctioned Mughal currency while preserving its familiar weight and silver standard.
