The stamps were issued to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Second Settlement that marked a significant period in Norfolk Island's history, involving the establishment of a new penal colony and efforts to cultivate the land. The stamps display the photos of HMS Mermaid on one and the photo of 1835's Kingston on another.MNH
