Roman Empire, Theodosius (455-457 CE), Gold Solidus (Contemporary Imitation), Indian imitation, Obv: helmeted, armored bust facing front, holding shield and spear, legend " D V SETOI/IQVTVVG" around the field, Rev: winged Victory standing facing left, holding bejeweled cross in right hand, legend "PVCTVI- IASVCCCV/CB-", 3.90g, 21.45mm, cut and double piercing, local Indian copies of Roman coins were often provided with holes, apparently so they could be worn as pendants, about very fine, Scarce.
