Note: The gold coins associated with this ruler typically feature five lions. However, this particular type distinguishes itself by incorporating the Kannada legend 'Bha.' The attribution to Jagadekamalla is supported by the symbols found on similar coins within a specific hoard, a discovery initially made by H. Krishna Sastri. He deciphered Kannada legends that formed the words 'Jaga,' 'Jagade,' and 'Jagadeka.' Additionally, the presence of the Kannada letter 'Bha' above the temple signifies the initial letter of the Hindu cyclic year 'Bhava,' a practice reminiscent of the coins issued during the same period by the Goa Kadamba dynasty.
