It is remarkably large for the type, with full and clear Tamil legends sharply struck across the surfaces. The coin exhibits remarkably well-preserved surfaces, showing outstanding detail and definition rarely encountered in this series.

It is possibly a commemorative issue associated with the famed Brihadeeswara Temple of Thanjavur, dating back to the illustrious Chola period, adding a layer of cultural and historical significance to the piece.
