Note: The National Resources Conservation Week was observed from 15 to 21 November 1992 as part of an awareness campaign for the conservation and scientific management of land resources. To commemorate the occasion, a Rupees 2 coin was struck at the Kolkata Mint. Unlike regular commemorative issues, this coin was never released for general circulation and is believed to have been struck exclusively for presentation to dignitaries attending the event. With an estimated mintage of fewer than 500 pieces, this is an exceptionally rare and desirable issue of the Republic of India.
